LightCarbon UCI Approved Road Bike Wheels
Are you going to participate in UCI (Union Cyclist International) sanctioned races? If so, then carbon road bike wheels model C66DB-RD28-44C is your best choice. It has been granted UCI approval and included in the List of UCI Approved Wheels (you’ll find it on Page 32) .We’d like to share below UCI Approval Certificate for this wheels:
Impact test is able to ensure that the rim impact strength is qualified and the safety of cyclists. There are 4 times impacting on a different position from a required impacting height. Different impacting height are applied on different wheels.
UCI Wheel Impact Test Standard
- Test method: Vertical drop (neutralization of the rebound of the anvil).
- Wheel: Tested wheel without tire.
- Energy level: 40 Joules.
- Impact striker geometry: Flat steel anvil, the impact surface is covered with a silicone rubber pad of 20mm thickness, pad requires to be undamaged.
- Impact mass: Range of 6 - 10kg. Energy must always remain at 40 Joules at the hit with a +/- 5% tolerance.
- Hitting point: One hit at 90° from valve hole, adjusted to have the point between the spokes.
