In Triathlon, Time Trial and Track bikes, 3-spoke, 5-spoke and full disc carbon wheels are widely used.
Compared to regular wheels, carbon spoke and full disc wheels are relatively heavier, but they are outstanding in aerodynamics and stiffness which are critical for TT/Track bikes.
Since TT/Track bikes are normally used in flat road condition, a bit heavier weight is not the cons. Instead, it could be the pros considering heavier weight provides greater inertia and helps riders to keep at higher speed during cruise phase.
Our 5-spoke carbon wheels are made with thicker side wall compared to regular carbon rims, which provides better strength and stiffness.
The five carbon beams are designed with bladed shape and is one-piece molded with the rest of wheels, which helps to optimize aerodynamics.
Good quality OEM LC hubs are made by well selected hub manufacturer in Taiwan, using 36T ratchet system. This series hubs are workable for rim brake, disc brake and track system separately.
All of them are designed with a very refined and reliable ratchet freehub system, which improves power transfer efficiency and the rolling resistance is minimized. Such hubs help you to shorten acceleration time and save energy. The ratchet freehub system is applied on high-end hub brand hubs generally, such as DT Swiss hubs.
For the rear hub cassette body, the Shimano HG 11/12s and SRAM XDR freehub are optional.
